Firestorm Intensives
Leave the past in the past.
Intensive therapy for when weekly therapy isn’t giving you enough room to do the work.
I ain’t like that anymore
I don’t kick off like before
I’m more relaxed, I’m all reformed
I ain’t a firestorm
- Danny Schmidt, Firestorm
What Is an Intensive?
An intensive is a longer, focused block of therapy that gives us more time to actually do the work.
Instead of spending 50 minutes getting settled, opening something important, and then having to stop, we have the space to stay with it.
Firestorm intensives use Brainspotting and Internal Family Systems (IFS) to work with the emotional and nervous-system patterns that can be difficult to reach through conversation alone.
This isn't about cramming more therapy into one day.
It's about giving the work enough room to unfold.
We don't settle for coping when deeper healing is possible.
Choose You Intensive
You don't need to know exactly what you need before you schedule a consultation. We'll talk through what's going on and decide together which option makes sense.

Which Intensive Is Right for Me?
You don't have to figure that out on your own.
Break the Pattern may be a good fit if you're looking for focused work around a particular pattern, experience, or issue and want to see what can shift with more time than a traditional session allows.
Deep Work is designed for people who want more time to go deeper and don't want to have to stop when the work is just getting somewhere.
During your consultation, we'll talk about what you're hoping to work on, your history, and whether an intensive is appropriate for you.
Why Intensives Feel Different
Weekly therapy can be incredibly helpful, but there are limits to what can happen in a 50-minute session. By the time you check in, get oriented to what you want to work on, and start getting into something deeper, the session may already be nearing its end.
An intensive gives us the time to move past that initial conversation and actually stay with the work. If something important comes up, we don't have to immediately shift toward wrapping up and figuring out how you're going to manage until the next appointment.
There is also more flexibility in how we use the time. We can slow down when you need to, take a break, spend more time with something that needs attention, or follow where the work naturally leads instead of having to fit everything into the same 50-minute structure.
The goal isn't to do therapy faster. It's to give the therapy enough time to go deeper.
That is much closer to the voice you've been using elsewhere on the site.
What to Expect
The Process
1. Consultation
We'll start with a free consultation to talk about what you're looking for and whether an intensive is a good fit.
2. Preparation
If we decide to move forward, we'll meet for a 60-minute preparation session before your intensive.
We'll talk through your goals, what to expect, and anything we need to know to make the intensive useful and safe.
3. Your Intensive
This is where we have the time to actually do the work.
Depending on the intensive you choose, we'll spend three or six uninterrupted hours working together.
4. Follow-Up
You'll have a 60-minute follow-up session afterward to check in, process what has happened, and figure out what comes next.
You won’t be pushed faster than your system can handle—this work is paced with you, not against you.

Your pace matters. There is room for grounding, breaks, slowing down, and adjusting the work as needed.
